As Bog Beauties we do not like sitting still, when there is so much moorland out there to run! Find out more about our upcoming adventures and how you can help in the section below.
Lisa and Libby have a really exciting project up their sleeve. Between July and October they plan to complete a continuous self-propelled round of all of the Scottish Munros. This project has it’s own section on this website!
Zion Traverse, Utah, USA
Bodil and Bog-Beauty friend Anna have planned an exciting trip to the USA to run the 50-mile traversing route of Zion National Park. Normally a 3-4 day backpacking trip, this route takes them through desert and over high mountain passes. Though it is unlikely they will encounter much boggy terrain, the lack of water and doing a completely self-sufficient 50-miler will be a big challenge!
Fast-packing the Bob Graham
All of the Bog Beauties have the Bob Graham round somewhere on their bucket list, however as most of their time is spent in the Peak District they haven’t had much time to recce the route. This summer Lisa, Libby, Bo, Corin and Luna are planning a trip to complete the route over a few days. They may also be doing a little bit of filming to make a running film from a different perspective – look out for that!
Beauties and the Bog in Best of SHAFF!
This year our film was shown at at ShAFF (Sheffield Adventure Film Festival) in the Made in Sheffield (2) and Running Films (3) categories. Find our film at ShAFF here. We are really excited that i has also been selected to be shown in Best of Shaff – look out for that!
High Peak Marathon 2017
* UPDATE * After 12 hrs 45 mins of running, we finished the High Peak Marathon on Saturday 4th of March, 2017 at noon. We were super happy & also a little sad it was over. Read our race report here
Our adventures started when training for HPM 2016, and since bad weather cancelled 2016’s race, we still have unfinished business with this event. On Friday 3rd of March 11:13 pm we will set off for our 42 mile adventure over the moorlands of the Peak District. We expect (hope!) to finish in Edale on Saturday around 1 pm, if you are interested in coming along!
